There’s just not enough popcorn for this movie.
There’s probably not enough corn to make that popcorn either but that is neither here nor there. The important thing is remember you’re not insane seeing what you’re seeing. Our leaders however appear to have a few rooms for rent in their heads and that is real estate whose value is depreciating at a great rate.
So I guess I’ll have to say I’m sorry because I’m Canadian.
I’m sorry that our country, of all countries, would be entertaining and/or horrifying the whole world with our outrageous politicians. If any thing can be said on our behalf it would be that, because of the way elections work here, less than 30% of the population voted for the present leadership.
I guess all this ruckus over the Canadian politicians giving standing ovations for a bonified Nazi Waffen SS officer kind of took the pressure off the discussion of $600 million dollars going off to the Ukraine for war. I think that makes a total so far of $1.2 billion.
Don’t get me wrong. We Canadians love democracy. We used to have it for the longest time. We care about Ukrainians. We’re just in serious debt and we can’t rob Peter to pay Paul anymore. We think you should talk to some of the elite oligarchs. See if they can sell a yacht or jet or two to help.
It is time for the grown ups to take over. The children are out of hand again. Of course when the adults are children themselves we will end up in The Lord of the Flies probably.
We’ll likely move from far left into the far right because of course, children are only capable of black and white thinking. Sadly we stand to lose most of the progress we’ve made on so many social justice issues right now, it’s frightening in that respect.
One of the best pieces of advice I’ve always held true is that when faced with two leaders with opposing views, you look to see where both these leaders actually agree on things. There’s the tell. It will become policy. Unfortunately we don’t get a lot of information on those things because the differences are so much more entertaining.
One thing we could look at in Canada e.g. is which of the two leaders supports war over peace? What effort have they made long before all this started to promote, help negotiate and/or stand for peace? Or at least applaud those who have tried? Just a question I have.
The other question I would ask is do they know any history whatsoever? Any?
Also, asking for something to be struck off the record does not mean it didn’t happen. Orwell had something to say about that.
If you’re in a different country just watch what the leaders aren’t talking about and what they agree on. It might help to make a decision come election time. All the World’s a Stage and they’ve basically locked us into the theatre.
aren't we the adults?
yep. the grown ups. they're a coming. brace. brace. brace.
