The greatest amazement we must all have at the moment is that the CBC (mainstream) media is allowing comments on its Youtube platform concerning the decision by the Federal Court to declare the calling for the Emergency Act unconstitutional. This tells me all I need to know. But that aside, what we see is the pendulum swinging from left to right worldwide. The pendulum swings and The Gods are playing with the mooing herds again. They’ve opened up the pasture gates in some cases. They don’t much care who wins or who loses. They profit either way. It is the divisiveness they are after.
In the meantime the Emergency Act invocation in Canada created so much divisiveness that repairing that seems almost impossible at this point. The damage to individuals, businesses, friends, co-workers, families is unforgivable. Truly unforgivable. We go into our future with a traumatized public. This is why God (whatever you conceive this to be) exists in part, to forgive the unforgivable. But as individuals hopefully we can keep reason and compassion above and beyond the “I told you so’s.”
Reading the judgment on this Emergency Act being declared unconstitutional is an eye-opener for some. The understanding that what they were told was not what happened. We will now see the incredulity of those who followed only mainstream media very similar to the incredulity of those who did their own research when all this havoc began. They will experience the incredulity of seeing fellow human beings saying and doing what they did and which sent us all off to read Desmet’s book on Mass Formation or the book on the Madness of Crowds. That old familiar refrain “What is the MATTER with people!”
The first response, after exhausting all naivete to stare reality in the face will be “it is partisanship.” The second response will be fear. And for the right that have already climbed that mountain of fear we can only hope to have the experience and honour of helping rather than attacking the left that is now going to be going through a similar nightmare. We are not to be divided again. That’s how bad guys win. (In this I’m not talking about the radical left or right. They are a story unto themselves. I’m speaking of ordinary Canadians with minor differences of left and right but with moral compasses that still work.)
This judgment was not a partisan decision. The judge appears to be unhappy that he has had to have made such a decision because it was the only lawful thing he could do—if he believed in the law. And so it goes. The timing however is something of an issue in my opinion but then I could be wrong about what I think may happen and will not elaborate at this point. Enjoy the truth in the meantime before it is gone. Courage and hope always.
