The irony of democracy
The irony of democracy is you can actually vote in tyranny. Some would say.
I just dunno. It all seems so blatantly obvious but then maybe it isn’t? That whole “creating crises so solutions can be provided.” That thing. Now I don’t blame anyone for not seeing this, if indeed what I and others are seeing is real, because all of us have been for a long time under a great deal of stress and manipulation and sometimes things are hard to accept or even believe. And the worst part of it all is we are divided and can’t even talk to each other about pretty much anything anymore. As it has been planned. Some would say.
We can’t afford housing now because the prices are over the top but our “new” government, having created a whole new department to handle the matter, will be building umpteen thousands of new abodes… At no point have they said they’ll be for sale. It seems obvious that they will be rentals which likely will be government owned or corporate owned or foreign owned. It is hard to tell the difference between these entities these days. (And isn’t it a good thing that Brookfield management is a leader in building such houses and of course we know that our current PM is not necessarily involved in this company anymore because his stuff is in a blind trust and he has no idea what is happening to his money….) We will own nothing and be happy.
And then there is the price of groceries which means the government simply will be forced to step in to take on those big bad grocery stores… and they’ll take care of that too. And forget local farmers. They’re dying from the cost of operating and hanging on by a spider web of a thread. The government will take care of that.
And the healthcare crisis… They’ll handle it with help from their friendly globalist organizations. They need to take care of us. They’ll take care of us. Because that, my friend, is communism on a globalist scale.
And you’ll be happy as long as you do what you’re told to do and think what you’re told to think and say what you’re told to say. And they will know this because you have a universal digital ID which tracks your every move. (If your neighbours or children don’t report you.) You will be “punished or rewarded” as deemed fit. (Our current PM in Canada likes “that” turn of phrase when it comes to Green compliance stuff. Some would say that’s rather telling about character. But never mind all that.)
And maybe you’ll have to go to war and take a certain medication because you want to keep your abode and eat. And if you want to understand whats going on you’ll have to turn to your state run media because all the other ones will be gone. They’ll tell you the truth. There can be no questioning. And if it gets too bad don’t think about turning to your religious beliefs now. You really can’t have one. Why do you need one? Religion is what we tell you it is. The government is the one taking care of you. Forever. Or maybe we’ll just make the Green movement a global religion. Maybe.
And maybe, because the war is the single most important thing now, maybe they’ll just sneak into your bank account and take your savings just for the time-being to finance these wars—it’s the fight for freedom and democracy after all….
Things like that. But maybe that is okay for you because you just want the government to take care of you. Maybe that’s what you want.
You know… This whole approach always went by different names but it is always the same throughout history. It has NEVER worked out historically without a few million deaths involved. Because there were too many people? Because the people protested the slavery and lack of privacy and the ruthless conformity? Who knows. Every single time the leaders of such movements said “this time it will be different.” And it never changed the outcome. So many people died.
Welcome to a life without freedom. And poverty. They like to call it levelling out the playing field. Everybody is equal in terms of resources. Except that’s not true now is it? The have-yachts and private jets ain’t going away any time soon.
I just don’t know if it is obvious to others. What is the point of saving the planet (presuming it needs saving) when life becomes such a thing as this? And don’t get me started on these endless wars and the shenanigans there…
How can one have a peaceful old age watching all this happen? It is not possible for me. And those that would and do protest such impending horror are still operating on a system of the way things should be rather than how they are. Caught in the minutiae. Striking out and showing the duplicity and deceit and lies. And the agenda carries on without regard for any of those silly details. Placate, lie if needed and keep moving forward is how its done by those that want it done. (Give the unwashed masses something to be happy about and then two things to be unhappy about. And when they protest the unhappy things, give them another something to be happy about. They’ll forget the bad bits. They’re like that. Repeat.) And they do endless polls as if polls mattered. People’s opinions matter not. They may be an inconvenience at times but “that will be handled.”
Those that protest are still operating on the outrage that things are supposed to be fair. That’s what we believed. But it ain’t so. We, in Canada, e.g. haven’t had a sitting government since at least last December. The horrific scandals involving billions of dollars never to be paid back? The billions sent off to a foreign war where over a million have died so far? Is everyone happy about supporting that? When they could have supported peace initiatives a long long time ago. No. It’s not Trump. No. It’s not Putin. No. It’s not Carney or any of our global leaders. It’s “the global agenda” and these characters are the puppets. Well-paid puppets.
Played like a fiddle we are…. Oh hell. I just had to rant. Maybe i’m all wrong. Could easily be. It is all very dystopian isn’t it? But it feels like it is staring us in the face. And our happy comrades living an alternate reality at the moment are happy about saving the planet, and social engineering and oh heavens the great promise of technology!!! Such wonderful things. At what price? Who and how many are you willing to throw under the bus to be so happy?
I hope I’m completely wrong. I’m sure we’ll be reassured that none of these things will happen…. even as they happen. That’s how it works. That’s how it has worked so far. Or maybe not. Right?
But we must be in the world but not of it. We must sit quiet in the sunrise and listen to the birdsong. It is real. And feeding the cat is also real right now. So I’m off to feed the cat. And that is all.
