Doesn’t matter anymore who is elected. The point of all elections is to create divisiveness and it is going very well for thems that want that to divert attention away from all sorts of things. Used to be Canadians would accept defeat if their party didn’t win. They’d grumble and be annoyed and even a bit angry but they got on with it. Nobody was hated for whatever party they voted for. Whoever won would still provide the basics. Now however, it is different. Very different. Not because it is actually at the end of the day very different in terms of some one wins and some one loses but in the public response. The idea of the basics still being provided by any party that wins doesn’t seem to be a truism anymore and people are fearful and angry. And behind the scenes, the machine trundles on.


I thought the point of elections was to garner consent from those who should know better- and to glean assent from those who don't...
