Once again we all sit here watching the shenanigans of an American election and wonder if we’ll remain remotely sane until it is finally done. Out there wars are apparently going on and we have no idea what is happening because sorting out truth from propaganda is almost a futile endeavour. And now with AI the truth is growing harder to discern. The only thing we can discern is that the crackdown on media opinion contrary to the powers that are in place now means we are drawing closer and closer to war. The truth cannot be known. It will be, is, labelled a matter of national security. Four years ago if we had heard the fact (we think) that an airport in Moscow had been bombed by Ukraine/Nato we would have been horrified. Now… nada. People have become either indifferent or fatalistic. In this world, it is about what “will be will be” so take care of yourself and your family and community. Our leaders are engaging in activities the majority of us neither support nor understand. War being the biggest betrayal. I ask again, where and who were the peacemakers? Who were the diplomats that failed us all? If, in fact, any of this is happening. The tens of thousands that have died might attest to it I suppose. One day: when the ruins of our world, with the passage of enough time, are finally laid open to truth. Peace. Here. Now.
