Your piece here reminds me of Cormac McCarthy's indescribably beautiful ending to "The Road":
"Once there were brook trout in the streams in the mountains. You could see them standing in the amber current where the white edges of their fins wimpled softly in the flow. They smelled of moss in your hand. Polished and muscled and torsional. ..."
Let us hope and pray that the black and white desolation our world is becoming goes back to being more than mere memory coda in a bleak landscape of death and fear.

I like it very much, all u wrote and that picture of old oak tree always a symbol of staying strong; cause only a look at the authentic pure nature gives a solace ….in current times and good memories gives a joy how it was before the psychopaths showed up….
Beautiful article. It boggles my mind that most people cannot see how sinister the world has become. Twilight of the Psychopaths indeed.
A moving article. How on earth can people not see it??? Love the John Denver video

Remember, O LORD, what has befallen us; look, and see our reproach!
Our inheritance has been turned over to strangers, our houses to aliens.
We have become orphans without a father; our mothers are like widows.
We have to pay for our drinking water; our wood comes to us at a price.
Our pursuers are at our necks; we are worn out, there is no rest for us.
